Ronald J. Baker started his CPA career in 1984 with KPMG’s Private Business Advisory Services in San Francisco. Today, he is the radio host of "The Soul of Enterprise," which can be found on iTunes. Ron is the founder of VeraSage Institute, the leading think tank dedicated to educating professionals around the world. As a frequent speaker, writer, and educator, his work takes him around the world. He has been an instructor with the California CPA Education Foundation since 1995 and has authored sixteen courses for them.

He is also the author of six books and has toured the world, spreading his value-pricing message to over 110,000 professionals. Ron has been appointed to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant’s Group of One Hundred and has been named on Accounting Today’s Top 100 Most Influential People in the profession on nine occasions (’01-’07, ’11-’12).

VeraSage Institute is the most revolutionary think tank for professional knowledge firms – they challenge the professions to break free of practice methods that hurt the professions, undermine their purposes, and fail their clients. VeraSage is the combination of the words “veracity” and “sagacity,” meaning true wisdom. Among their quests: burying the billable hour and archaic timesheets and recognizing that professionals are knowledge workers, not machines.
