TEAM UP WITH US!

The Quoting Specialist is responsible for aiding in the design of the dealership's quoting program and will be responsible for the long-term operations of the program.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Document solid research that supports the service labor hour standards.
  • Lead the velocity, development and consistency of quotes related to the Machine and Engine product support jobs across multiple models and locations.
  • Provide consistent parts and labor content and pricing across all locations for customers that work across our entire territory.
  • Support Product Support Sales department with urgent quoting needs ensuring accuracy.
  • Make dealership wide recommendations to improve utilization of standard jobs and/or repair templates.
  • Oversee a PM quoting process designed for fast effective quoting at time of machine sale.
  • Provide prompt response to incoming calls and return of voice messages.
  • Develop and recommend repair labor time guidelines.
  • Work within the organization to gain support of all work.
  • Develop and upkeep a quoting strategy.
  • Prepare and assist with PM Service quotes.
  • Maintain a positive approach to customers and service personnel within the dealership.
  • Oversee processes to keep quoting parts price in sync with CAT prices and responsible for logging and tracking quoting requests.
  • Exhibit professional behavior.
  • Proactively establish positive working relationships with others by demonstrating excellent behavior flexibility and effective communication skills.
  • Ensure company policies, safety policies, and work processes are followed and in compliance.
  • Complete assigned tasks within required time deadlines.
  • Utilize Caterpillar Calculator software for quoting Customer Service Agreements.
  • Perform and /or oversee weekly meetings with staff.
  • Multi-task and excel in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Strong Product Support background and a solid understanding of the entire repair process within a complex dealership.
  • Demonstrated exceptional soft skills and urgency when dealing with any requests relevant to this position
  • Basic knowledge of Caterpillar Dealer Business System (DBS)
  • Associates degree from accredited college or university in a related field and/or 3-5 years related experience and/or training
  • Strong communication skills to include receiving, conveying, and interpreting information in written, verbal, and/or diagram form.
