The Warranty Supervisor is responsible for supervising the team of divisional warranty claims Technicians responsible for the Warranty department's interaction with Caterpillar and other OEM products sold by the dealership.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Supervise warranty Technicians who research and process warranty claims to recover money spent repairing defects in the products for Caterpillar and Allied manufactures.
  • Assist the team by filing claims.
  • Review warranty department's performance indicators, work in progress, claims in progress, and claims to be paid and control warranty expenses relative to repairs performed by other dealers.
  • Assist in the collection of accounts for warranty repairs performed in support of other dealers.
  • Pro-actively establish effective relationships and support others in achieving high performance.
  • Exhibit professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervise assigned employees in the Warranty Department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five (5) years warranty claims experience.
  • Thorough understanding of CAT Machines.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to professionally, responsibly, and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Strong customer service skills, including ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations, respond promptly to customer needs, solicit customer feedback to improve service; respond to requests for service and assistance, and meet commitments.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office products.
